We covered the important foundation (基本 Kihon) techniques of postures and stances (姿勢と構え shisei to kamae), both unarmed (徒手 toshu) and with baton (警棒 keibo).
We then examined the applications of movements (体捌き tai-sabaki & 次足 tugi-ashi) in a wide variety of defensive applications (ōyō 応用), both unarmed and with a baton (keibo).
We concluded by practicing a number of standing restraint holds (連行 Renkō), based on different resistive actions taken by the opponent.

It should be noted that although starting on their Taiho-jutsu journey, many of the above also hold higher lever ranks in other martial arts.
Taiho-jutsu is an easy to learn and effective system that was developed by the Japanese Police. It was formulated by some of the leading martial arts masters of the post-war era. Because it is comprehensive in its applications, it provides a fascinating insight into both the principles and biomechanics of a range of modern (Budō) martial arts.
