Uke and Tori stand on the ground with bare hands and stare at each other. (The same applies below)
- As they walk closer, Tori approaches Uke with his right hand
From the right side, he draws a palm facing Uke, passing in front of both eyes to the left side
grabs Uke's right kote (with the thumb of his right hand deep between the thumb and index finger of Uke's right hand) from the front and moves his left foot slightly diagonally
- Tori holds Uke's right wrist farther and places it around his front thigh
As he advances forward, he attacks with Kotegaeshi, pulling his right foot back and placing his left hand on Uke's right elbow from top to bottom, gripping it and squeezing his wrist and elbow to control it."

1.取は受の右手首を遥にして握り前もものあたりにつ
前に進めながら小手返しに攻め、右足を後に引回すとともに左手は受の右ひじに上から順にあてて握り手首とひじとをくじじきながら制する。
